Women want “lazy girl jobs” not because they’re lazy, they’re just more burnt out than men.

Women want “lazy girl jobs” not because they’re lazy, they’re just more burnt out than men. According to a Gallup survey of over 18K workers, a third of women are burnt out right now compared to a quarter of men who say they feel the same. The survey also found that nearly seven in 10 women “cite greater work-life balance and personal well-being as the reason why they’d change jobs, compared with 58% of men.” So, while the phrase “lazy girl job” has been circulating the internet, it really just means finding better work-life balance—something YPulse data shows young workers, regardless of gender, are yearning for in our Gen Z in Their Job Era trend report.
