A new study shows three ways brands can connect with young Latinos. YPulse has long said that brands need a dedicated strategy to understanding and connecting with young people of color—especially as our data shows how differently these consumers think and act from their White / non-Hispanic counterparts. When it comes to connecting with Gen Z Latinos, new data shows paying attention to language is key, but young people are far less likely to prefer Spanish exclusively. Instead, 20% prefer “Spanglish,” a blend of both their languages, over either exclusively—as it better reflects the blend of cultures they live in. In terms of media, the study finds connecting through music and TikTok are the prime ways to get the attention of this demographic. (Ad Week)
