Ticketmaster is implementing a new 72-hour rule for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS tour. As the mayhem of trying to secure tickets to the Gen Z star’s world tour ensues, the ticket sales and distribution company is taking steps to avoid scalpers (and prevent another Era’s Tour fiasco) with an unexpected rule: fans who purchase tickets will only be able to access them 72 hours before the concert (no matter when they were purchased), and can only be accessed electronically. As Ticketmaster explains, these measures were taken “as an added level of protection” for concertgoers. YPulse research shows that over six in ten Gen Z and Millennials agree they’re interested in live-streamed concerts / festivals if they can’t attend in person. (Variety)
