Many young Brits now have £100K in student debt. Five years ago, only 31 young Brits had accumulated over £100K in student debt. But due to the recent hike in interest rates in the U.K., there are now over 8K graduates who owe more than £100K for the years they spent at university. Recent figures in England also show that the sum of student debt in the country passed the £200B landmark this year.
