Research shows that “job-hopping” is a growing trend amongst Gen Z. A new survey from ResumeLab found that 83% of Gen Z (born between the mid ‘90s and early ‘00s) in the workforce refer to themselves as “job hoppers,” and 78% of Gen Z employees plan to only spend two to five years at their current job. The reason why this gen appears to “job-hop” more than others can be linked back to their need for healthy work / life balance, which was more important than a competitive salary to 73% of respondents in the survey. YPulse research affirms that Gen Z has no problem finding a new job when their current one doesn’t fit their values of a good work / life balance. (Fast Company)
