Speaking of work-life balance, Europe wants to legislate for better remote workers’ rights. While an increasing number of people are enjoying the flexibility associated with working from home, there is a dark side to it such as loneliness and lack of personal boundaries. Countries in the European Union have just signed a non-binding agreement to guarantee basic rights for work-from-home workers. Providing better access to co-working spaces and changing the language from work-life to “life-work” are among the recommendations. Data from YPulse’s WE Employment and Career Goals Report shows that 36% of young Europeans currently work at home or hybrid. (Bloomberg)
