Olivia Dunne, an LSU gymnast and social media star, just set up a fund to help female college athletes earn deals. The athlete and influencer recently launched The Livvy Fund, which will help LSU female athletes (and future female athletes) by advising them with industry connections and methods to secure name, image, and licensing (NIL) deals. Dunne is currently the highest-paid female NCAA athlete and has a huge fanbase on social media, with over seven-figures earned in NIL deals, 4M followers on Instagram, and 7.6M on TikTok, so her advice will serve as a great tool to other athletes aspiring to make an income from their sport. Dunne’s purpose behind her fund is to even out the playing field between male and female athletes earning NIL deals, and to educate student athletes “at LSU on how to be a savvy businesswoman and how to partner with brands.” YPulse has said before that teaming up with college athletes is a powerful way for brands to reach young sports fans.
