Creators are sharing innovative, healthy alternative recipes which are going viral, amassing over 323M views on the social media platform under the hashtag #CottageCheese. One user alone gained 1.9M views for sharing her strawberry cheesecake ice cream recipe using cottage cheese. And what they’re calling “grandmother’s favorite weight management tool” isn’t just gaining hype online—the sales have massively increased with its newfound popularity. An up-and-coming dairy company, Good Culture, for example saw a 50% sales growth in just four weeks thanks to Gen Z consumers. YPulse research shows that while this gen isn’t all that into dieting, they’re still interested in content that teaches them to add nutritional value to the dishes they enjoy. (WSJ)
