This working mom clapped backed to her coworker who criticized her late email response. A Millennial mother of four is getting national attention over her response to an impatient coworker, who sent a nasty-gram after not hearing back from her within 24 hours. With summer around the corner, it’s hard on some parents to balance work and home life, especially with high costs of summer camps or activities. And as this mom shared her struggle, she decided to respond back to all future emails she received with “Please note I may be slower to respond to email in the months of June, July and August due to the United States’ inability to provide affordable childcare for working mothers.” She was worried she would receive backlash from her coworkers, but she was instead met with an outpour of support. The mom then decided to post her response online and amassed even more responses from working parents around the U.S. who commended her as they could relate to the difficulty of caring for kids in the summer.
