eBay U.K. launched a sneaker academy to find the next gen of sneakerheads. eBay U.K. has partnered with Hatch Enterprise to launch The Sneaker Academy, a free online training program aimed at helping young entrepreneurs start their own sneaker businesses. The six-week course includes webinars, workshops, and mentorship sessions that cover topics such as product development, marketing, and finance, and is open to any 16-to-30-year-old Brits who have a passion for sneakers. The Sneaker Academy also aims to help create a more diverse and inclusive sneaker industry and address the lack of representation of designers and models in the market. Data from YPulse’s Finance / Spending Monitor Report shows that 17% of young Brits buy / sell second-hand items to make extra money. (Fashion United)
