Record numbers of British Gen Z are getting jobs. The cost-of-living crisis is putting pressure on people’s finances, and as a result, an increasing number are entering or coming back to the workplace in the U.K., according to a recent study by the Office for National Statistics. Two demographics are especially driving the trend: the 50-64-year-olds (who are fuelling the “unretirement trend”) and the 16-24-year-olds, who are skipping gap years and staying at their parents’ house longer to save money. YPulse’s research shows that 36% of Gen Z in Western Europe have a job right now, whether full time or part time. (BBC)
