Millennials are more outdoorsy than Gen Z. According to RMS’ Annual State of the Industry Report, “36% of [18-41-year-olds] prefer glamping, a narrow margin over the 35% who like to pitch a tent, with [M]illennials preferring tent camping and Gen Z favoring glamping.” More notably however, the survey also found that “85% of campers would like to have more access to technology at campgrounds.” This means the future of camping and “the Great Outdoors” will look entirely different for these gens. Brands will need to learn how to provide more personalized, digital-first experiences to future campers while also connecting them to nature. YPulse’s Travel report data shows that only 4% of Gen Z and Millennials would prefer to stay at a campsite when traveling in the future. (Wideopenspaces)
