New research shows that over half of parents are considering new schools for their children. According to a National School Choice Awareness Foundation survey of parents with school-aged children, 53% have considered or are considering a new school for their children and “67.9% said they were largely satisfied with their children’s school.” Black, Hispanic, and Millennial parents are the most likely to look into this change. While most are interested in transferring to another public school, a third are considering private or religious schools. The National Center for Education Statistics “projects nationwide public school enrollment to drop by 4% — from 49.4 million to 47.3 million students — between fall 2020 and fall 2030.” YPulse’s Education report data shows that when it comes to higher education for their kids, 83% of parents agree: “I will encourage my child to get an affordable education, regardless of what college they attend.” (K12 Dive)
