Major universities and other schools across the U.S. are collectively banning TikTok. Gen Z’s favorite social platform will no longer be accessible to them on campus Wi-Fi networks. A growing list of schools including the University of Texas – Austin, University of Alabama, University System of Georgia, and more, say they hope to “eliminate risks to information contained in the university’s network and to [their] critical infrastructure.” Online creators who attend these colleges are worried about the future of their content and the frequency of their online presence while residing on campus.
