Influencers sold billions in product recommendations in 2022. YPulse knows influencers hold enormous power these days, and young consumers are trusting them the most (especially for beauty recommendations). According to a report from LTK (formerly Liketoknowit), “18 million monthly shoppers bought over $3.6 billion worth of goods via its influencer affiliate links in 2022.” Top products included the “Dyson Airwrap, via a QVC link; Tarte’s Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm; the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Pad; and the Lancôme Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Mascara, via Ulta Beauty.” Clearly beauty was a dominating category for young consumers with fashion following close behind. In LTK’s Most Loved Awards, Lululemon’s “frequently sold-out” Everywhere Belt Bag, popular among Gen Z girls and Millennial moms alike, made the list, too.
