Olipop has made TikTok their main marketing platform—and made themselves go viral. The prebiotic soda brand has been riding the app’s gut health trend, focusing on feel-good wellness. Their brand strategy put Gen Z’s favorite social platform at the forefront of their product hype and built relationships with various influencers over the last year. Now, the brand is associated with their TikTok presence and has Gen Z running to Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods to show off their favorite Olipop flavors. Like it says in their TikTok bio, the brand is presenting themselves as “a new kind of soda” with only two to five grams of sugar and nine grams of fiber. The brand has amassed 94.3K followers on the app and posts fun, relatable, and informative content around young consumers’ new definition of wellness.
