England banned the use of single-use plastic cutlery and plates for businesses in the latest move to fight the environmental crisis. The new bill is mostly impacting food and beverage companies, who will not be able to give away single-use plastic or polystyrene utensils and plates to their customers. Similar regulations have already successfully been put in place in Scotland and Wales last year, and represent a major step in tackling the issue of plastic pollution. YPulse’s data shows that the environment is young Europeans’ top issue they say their generations are facing, and four in five see the climate change crisis as an immediate threat to humanity. (BBC)
