The first alcohol-free bar opened its doors in London, as more young Brits are embracing the sobriety movement. An increasing number of U.K. consumers are buying low / non-alcoholic drinks, and as a result, the sales in this niche market have doubled in five years. Now, the country’s first permanent alcohol-free off-licence opened in London, where young consumers will be able to enjoy a glass of their favorite non-alcoholic beverage, as a welcome alternative to the usual “Coke from a hose.” The sobriety shift is happening among young Brits, and data from YPulse’s recent Nightlife & Drinking Report shows a majority of young Brits agree with the statement “I don’t like to go out at night because I don’t like to drink.” (Telegraph)
