Retailers like Dollar Tree and Sephora are relying on third party platforms for faster deliveries this holiday season.

Dec 10 2022

Retailers like Dollar Tree and Sephora are relying on third party platforms for faster deliveries this holiday season. As more consumers shop online for gifts this year, companies are overwhelmed, but some are working with delivery services like DoorDash and Instacart to fulfill their needs. Dollar Tree expanded their partnership with Instacart in October and is guaranteeing customers delivery within an hour. Meanwhile, Sephora, Tractor Supply, and Dick’s Sporting Goods have been utilizing DoorDash for quick deliveries. According to a shipping report, “62% of people now expect their orders to be delivered in under three business days…[and] Shoppers are also hesitant to spend over $7 for speedier delivery.” YPulse’s Media Consumption report data shows that 42% of Gen Z and Millennials have an Amazon Prime membership—and they’ve probably gotten used to the free two-day shipping that comes along with it, making them expect the same from other brands.
