H&M is being sued for greenwashing, again. H&M is once again under fire for falsely claiming to make sustainable clothing for its customers. The clothing company makes it known that items are sustainable by placing green tags on products and marketing them as “Conscious Choices,” but it turns out that these claims were not entirely truthful. Brands wanting to showcase their efforts in the fight against climate change need to be cautious not to make inaccurate claims about their eco-actions, or they might be accused of greenwashing as well. YPulse’s Cause Conundrum Trend Report found 53% of young Europeans say most brands that have sustainability efforts are greenwashing. (FashionUnited)
