Honda is reaching Asian Americans with campaigns in multiple languages. To promote their new CR-V hybrid, Honda is tapping into the brand’s (and specific vehicle’s) largest demographic—Asian American families—by including ads in English, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Korean. In order to reach young consumers, they’ll spotlight the ads on Spotify, Vevo, and short clips on TikTok. The ads feature Asian American families taking a road trip in the CR-V while voiceovers play in the various languages. YPulse’s Representation in Action trend report data shows that 67% of Asian Gen Z and Millennials say they would think more positively about a brand if they created an ad in a language other than English.
