Casper is tapping Netflix to reach stressed holiday shoppers. This weekend, Casper will be playing in-store screenings of Netflix’s Slumberland, a film about a girl’s journey through a secret dream world where she must battle nightmares and dreamscapes in order to find her late father. In their NYC NoHo store Casper will provide shoppers with snacks and drinks as the film plays. As a brand designed around rest and relaxation, Casper wants to help holiday shoppers have a more serene shopping experience. The brand is also planning to offer tickets to in-person viewings and give online access to what they’re calling “The World’s Largest Slumber Party.” Holiday shoppers are indeed stressed this year—and YPulse research shows young consumers are shopping with inflation in mind.
