Decentraland is kicking off their second annual Metaverse Music Festival with performances from over 170 artists. For four days, viewers will be able to virtually attend concerts across 15 stages from the likes of Björk, Ozzy, Dillon Francis, Soulja Boy, Motörhead, Megadeath, Akira the Don, and more. Plus, singing competition show The Voice will be hosting a virtual contest and giving out NFTs to winners. Keeping the NFT ball rolling, crypto exchange platform Kraken is back serving as the festival’s host alongside several other brands (including Limewire and Ozzy Osbourne’s music festival Ozzfest) who will be sponsoring various stages. The festival is even planning some trippy visuals and hinting at a “psychedelic experience” giving off an IRL feel without the hallucinations. YPulse’s Metaverse trend report data shows that nearly one third of young people have attended a virtual concert before, but another 44% are interested in attending. (The Drum)
