The U.K.’s National Health System partnered with Marvel Studio’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to encourage more Black blood donors to come forward. We saw an NHS X Marvel Studio collab earlier this year for the release of Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, to get the public’s attention on the shortage of blood donations. This time around, the British government’s health provider is trying to reach out specifically to people of Black heritage, whose blood is “urgently needed.” Ethnically matched blood is in great need to cure blood conditions such as sickle cell disease. This new campaign is already very successful, with record numbers of Black donors coming forward to give their blood. (Campaign Live)
