The Roku Channel is launching their first ever Spanish language section for kids and families. While Roku already has their “Espacio Latino” offering for adults, this will be their first move in targeting young people. According to a recent survey by the service, “nearly 70% of US households that watch The Roku Channel in Spanish do so more than three days a week” and “23% of Roku’s Hispanic audience watch TV with their kids.” Kids and families will receive access to over a thousand movies and TV shows including “Astroblast, Pinkfong & Baby Shark’s Space Adventure, Gallina Pintadita (The Little Painted Hen), Stellaluna and La leyenda de la Llorona (The Legend of the Weeping Woman)” and a ton more in the coming months. YPulse’s Media Consumption report data shows that 21% of Hispanic parents say their kids use Roku to watch video content weekly or more. (Kidscreen)
