U.S. Disney+ subscribers now have exclusive access to merch a week before the general public. New product drops like Star Wars lightsabers and Black Panther masks will be offered to a limited test of subscribers in order to provide streamers with more perks as the holiday season approaches. A shopping tab will be available for adult profiles within the Disney+ app and viewers can scan “QR codes under ‘Shop this Story’ on the Disney+ page for a specific series or movie,” but all available merch can be seen on the Shop Disney website. YPulse’s new Media Consumption report data shows that 40% of Gen Z and Millennials are watching Disney+ weekly or more. (Reuters)
