Snapchat is working with Strava on new fitness tracking abilities within the app. Snap is pretty much the queen of augmented reality lenses at this point, so adding another for fitness tracking is so on brand for them. In their partnership with fitness app Strava, Snap is allowing users to upload and share their fitness data in an interactive and visual way. Data from a user’s Strava app can be added to a Snap image lens as an overlay. For example, if they snap a photo of themselves at the gym, they can use the new Strava Activity Lens to showcase the stats from their workout. Snap says they want to appeal to 30-40-year-old fitness enthusiasts with this new activation. YPusle’s Fitness report data shows that 75% of Millennials agree that staying fit is a big part of their lives. (Social Media Today)
