McDonald’s is getting in on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hype with a themed Happy Meal. Gen Z and Millennials’ favorite fast-food franchise is back at it again with the Happy Meal hype. In October, the brand was able to draw in tons of young consumer attention with their Boo Bucket revivals and now they’re rolling out a brand new black and purple Happy Meal box and ten new action figure toys. Each member of the cast will have their own Happy Meal toy replica, with the exception of Letitia Wright’s Shuri who will have three of her own toys since she’s the new MC. The food chain recognizes the powerful impact these films have on representation in the film industry, and they want that to be carried over to the food industry as well. YPulse’s Representation in Action trend report data shows that 53% of Gen Z and Millennials say that reflecting diversity and being inclusive in the TV / film industry is important.
