Millennials are online shopping more during weekdays. According to CouponFollow, almost a third of Millennials in the U.S. are shopping on their mobile devices during the week. They found that since 2019, shopping preferences for this gen have shifted from weekends to weekdays and are significantly more likely to occur on their cell phones rather than laptops / desktops. To compare, only 18% of Millennials are shopping online during the weekends. This makes sense when you think about busy young adults and young parents who need to make quick purchases on apps like Instacart or food delivery services on a random Wednesday and don’t have time to spend at the grocery store. YPulse research shows that the majority of young consumers’ top-used retail apps are online-only stores. (Insider Intelligence)
