Top social apps have been rolling out a ton of new updates to compete with one another—and now Instagram just announced a new Creator Portfolio. For those who choose to display this in their profiles, the new Creator Portfolio option will allow them to “showcase their audience reach, as well as previous brand work.” Using the app’s Professional Dashboard, the Creator Portfolio will ultimately help creators build pitches to brands and lock down more influencer marketing deals. Instagram is working hard to keep their top creative talent from migrating over to TikTok or YouTube. YPulse research shows that the majority of Gen Z and Millennials are nano-creators and they’re eager to work with brands. Sixty eight percent of young people say they’re open to a brand reaching out to them directly to promote them on social media, and Instagram’s Creator Portfolio is helping to gain that exposure.
