McDonald’s is tapping Millennial nostalgia by reintroducing their Halloween Boo Buckets. Millennials’ favorite fast food chain recently tweeted that the Boo Buckets are back in Canada—and they’re offering a chance to win the buckets and other prizes. By following their Twitter accounts and replying to the announcement, fans can win “1 of 2 prize packs including 4 iconic Boo Buckets + a limited edition instant film camera + $100 McD’s gift card.” Now, Millennial parents will have the opportunity to re-experience a childhood staple along with their own kids. It’s not confirmed whether or not fans of the Boo Buckets will get to experience them in the U.S., but of course Twitter is in an uproar over them with tweets like “But I need to know if @McDonalds is bringing back the Halloween buckets because I need them all.” YPulse has been tracking the nostalgia craze for quite some time now, and we know that nostalgia marketing is helping brands connect with young consumers.
