More Millennial parents may be going back to the office now that kids are back in school. Bank of America’s research shows that the number of 30-40-year-old (older Millennial) parents working mostly remotely decreased from 55% in June to 43% in September. This is likely due to the fact that more kids are attending school in-person this year, with BoA reporting 62% of students are now in-person only compared to 55% in 2021. But at the same time, pushing parents back into the office against their will is “not going over well” according to the CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management. Other data indicates that the “return” to the office is mainly a hybrid one, with parents coming in two or three days a week as opposed to none. YPulse’s employment and career data shows that the majority of Millennials would prefer hybrid work to being in the office full-time. (Fortune)
