Wendy’s is gearing up for Rick and Morty’s sixth season with sci-fi inspired menu items. YPulse research shows Wendy’s ranks among Gen Z and Millennials’ top five favorite fast food places. Marking their third year tapping into the Rick and Morty fandom, Wendy’s is bringing back old favorites as well as adding new perks. For example, Portal Time Lemon Lime is making another appearance this year and they’re adding a “Froopyland Froopunch option to the Freestyle dispenser machines in its store locations and via its app nationwide.” Plus, “through Sept. 11, Uber Eats users can also purchase a Hot Honey NOT Birdperson Combo that includes a custom chicken sandwich, fries and drink and a Riggity Riggity Wrecked Combo of a quarter-pounder, fries and drink.” Our Clicking on Community trend research shows that 78% of young consumers like it when brands create products for their fandom—and agree that they should make more.
