Millennial parents want schools to offer their kids mental health days.

Millennial parents want schools to offer their kids mental health days. YPulse’s Mental Health report shows that two in five Millennial parents say their child’s mental health has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, and half say their own mental health has been affected as well. Meanwhile, a previous study found that a “youth mental health crisis is crushing working parents,” forcing many Millennial parents to take time off of work. Now, a recent study from Verywell Mind found that parents of 8-17-year-olds say school is the biggest stressor in their kids’ lives—and that the schools themselves should be doing something about it. In fact, 74% say schools should be required to offer mental health days to students, and 77% of parents who have let their child take a mental health day on their own say it had a positive impact.
