Tony the Tiger is going live on Twitch and transforming into a VTuber. The Frosted Flakes icon will be the first ever brand mascot working with Twitch as an interactive virtual YouTuber. Tony the Tiger’s GR-R-REAT CEREAL BOWL OF GR-R-REATNESS is going to be a livestreamed event on August 19th where Tony will go up against Twitch streamers Brennon “GoldGlove” O’Neill, Chrissy Costanza (chrissyofficial), and Jakeem “BigCheese” Johnson on Tony’s own Twitch channel for a classic battle royale game. Kellogg’s is looking to connect with the next gen of cereal lovers by giving viewers the opportunity to “[participate] in Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes-fueled polls and [chime] in on Chat.” YPulse’s Gaming report data shows 70% of Gen Z watches other people play video games weekly or more and 40% of Gen Z watch gaming streams on Twitch.
