Peacock is now featuring Shoppable TV for the show Love Island, USA. Premiering today on NBCUniversal’s Peacock, the popular dating show is allowing viewers to scan a QR code on their screens and shop for products used by the contestants on the show. The codes will take viewers to E! Online where they can purchase from brands like Quay and Yellowpop, and all items can be bought through NBCUniversal Checkout, which is a part of its One Platform ad tech stack. To add to the hype for their fourth season, the show has a line-up of events involving former contestants, fashion collabs with Kenny Flowers, Obé Fitness for “a content series inspired by the show,” and even an official Spotify playlist based on season four. YPulse research shows over half of young consumers are interested in shoppable videos and 61% are interested in shoppable articles like the ones on E! Online. (Marketing Dive)
