For many Millennial parents, the ability to work from home has been “life changing,” and they don’t want to give it up. While some employers might be turning up the pressure to go back to the office, not all Millennial parents are ready to go back to their pre-COVID cubicles. Time and money saved on commutes, the ability to hug kids in the middle of the day, and less stress are all reasons Millennial parents are citing for wanting to keep their work-from-home lifestyles. According to one expert, “if organizations want to stay competitive, they are going to have to re-evaluate what work looks like.” YPulse’s employment and careers survey shows that Millennial parents are more likely than non-parents to currently have a hybrid work schedule, and 64% say having flexible work and the ability to work from anywhere is important to them in their careers.
