Target is appealing to young drinkers by releasing a line of pre-mixed cocktails. The big box store is a go-to among young consumers and YPulse data shows it’s Gen Z and Millennials’ second favorite retailer. Their new brand, Casa Cantina, will be available at all Target locations that offer alcoholic beverages and this addition to their Wine & Spirits section will feature three main varieties of drinks: Classic Margarita, Strawberry Margarita, and Piña Colada. The affordable (under $10) drinks are all vegan, gluten free, and free of artificial flavors, appealing to the fact that Millennials tend to gravitate toward healthier alcoholic options like hard seltzer. The convenience of pre-made cocktails is appealing to young drinkers’ desire to stay at home: YPulse’s Nightlife & Drinking report data shows 68% of Millennials would rather stay in and drink than go to a bar these days.
