Summer camps and courses are teaching kids about crypto. YPulse’s Buying Into Crypto and NFTs trend research found that 58% of Millennial parents would buy an NFT for their child. Now, summer camps like Crypto Kids Camp—a $500, weeklong camp taking place in L.A. this summer—are teaching everything from artificial intelligence to virtual reality using hands-on games and activities. The camp’s founder Najah Roberts says she started the camp to “lessen the wealth gap between privileged kids and underserved communities.” The camp is part of a “burgeoning cottage industry” made up of camps, startups, and video content devoted to educating the next gen about Web3. Other “crypto-for-kid initiatives” like programs at the University of Pennsylvania and other colleges in the country and online are also educating kids about cryptocurrency, NFTs, and digital and financial literacy.
