Netflix is creating an animated series and mobile game based on the Exploding Kittens card game. As Netflix leans deeper into its gaming strategy, popular card game Exploding Kittens is getting its own animated series and mobile game on the streaming service. Exploding Kittens will follow the “eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell as it reaches epic proportions when both God and the Devil are sent to Earth—in the bodies of chunky house cats.” Though the show won’t premiere until next year, the mobile game hits Netflix next month where players can draw cards with the goal of avoiding the Exploding Kitten, with future cards and game mechanics to be themed around the animated series for players to interact with their favorite characters.
