Millennial couples are moving in together without plans for holy matrimony. While “co-habitants” are the U.K.’s fastest growing demographic, a new study shows that young Britons don’t think sharing a space should act as a “trial marriage”—or that it indicates anything about future marriage plans. Instead, the study found Millennials are moving in together as a practical decision. YPulse’s recent WE dating and relationships research found that more than one-third of young Europeans say they never want to get married, and 53% believe marriage doesn’t have to be the end goal of a serious relationship. As this generation continues to alter the meaning of marriage and dating, it’s likely we’ll see more couples moving in together without plans to head down the aisle. (BBC)
