Zara dropped a “metacollection” designed to be worn in the virtual world and IRL. Named LIME GLAM, the psychedelic-inspired collection features candy-colored woven tote bags, vibrantly colored pants, sky-high fuchsia platforms, denim jackets, lime green crop tops and mini dresses, and more. An earthy-toned eyeshadow palette and green and pink nail polish top off the collection, and three digital items including a wall, a floor, and a photo booth compliment each piece “to enrich the wearer’s experience.” The real-life “metacollection” can be purchased via Zara’s website and the digital wearables can be accessed via Zepeto, an app that allows users to create 3D versions of themself to use in in-app chat rooms. YPulse’s Metaverse trend research found that 75% of virtual world gamers say they like when brands create products their digital avatar can wear. (HYPEBAE)
