Tinder joined forces with French NGO A voté (a.k.a. Voted) to encourage Gen Z and Millennials to head to the ballot boxes for the upcoming presidential election.

Tinder joined forces with French NGO A voté (a.k.a. Voted) to encourage Gen Z and Millennials to head to the ballot boxes for the upcoming presidential election. With fears of high absentia rates among young French voters, Tinder is launching an in-app ad campaign reminding users to register, using the slogan, ”If you can date down your street … you can vote down your street.” Tinder will also remind users to vote through a four-part FAQ video series about the election. Our recent WE dating and relationships research found that nearly a quarter of young Europeans have used dating apps to date or flirt, and the top reason they’re using dating apps is for fun and to pass the time—much like social media platforms. With this in mind, A voté’s campaign aims to reach young French voters on the platforms they’re already using. In addition to its partnership with Tinder, the organization is collaborating with Meta to create an AI chatbot where people can get instant answers to election questions on the platform. (France 24)
