Spring break travel is back, baby. Now that it’s (finally) March, young people are looking forward to spring and summer travel, and as one travel industry expert puts it, “people planning spring travel are like bears coming out of hibernation.” According to a survey from Vacasa, 40% of Americans are planning to travel during spring break (up from 29% in 2021), and Vrbo reports a 50% increase in demand for vacation homes this spring compared to last year. Not only is anticipation to travel at an all-time high, so are the prices for gasoline, airfare, hotels, and more. Still, spiked prices don’t seem to be stopping consumers from enjoying their (much needed) getaways for what feels like the first normal spring break in nearly three years. YPulse’s The In-Between trend research found that over half of young consumers say they plan to return to traveling by plane domestically and internationally within the year. (Yahoo!
