Garnier launched a no-rinse conditioner across Europe to help climate-concerned consumers go green.

Feb 09 2022

Garnier launched a no-rinse conditioner across Europe to help climate-concerned consumers go green. As part of its “Green Step” campaign, Garnier’s new conditioner helps users save up to seven liters (about 1.8 gallons) of water by skipping the rinse step. On top of that, the conditioner is made in carbon-neutral waterloop factories, cutting the product’s carbon footprint by 92%. The product comes in response to Garnier’s recent One Green Step report, which found that 83% of European consumers want to be more sustainable. YPulse has been tracking Gen Z and Millennials’ climate anxiety, which has inspired them to live an eco-friendly lifestyle. Our research also shows that 70% of 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. have changed some element of their behavior to become more environment-friendly, and our WE beauty research found that the majority of young consumers (Gen Z females in particular) are more likely to buy beauty products labeled “eco-friendly,” “all-natural,” and “sustainable.” (Cosmetics Design Europe)
