The Knot launched a wellness initiative focusing on the mental health needs of young singles and couples. Ahead of this year’s expected wedding boom, the wedding planning media brand recently launched The Knot Wellness, a year-long initiative serving as a “destination for all — single, engaged, and married — while helping navigate conversations and lifestyles across relationship, financial, and mental health topics.” The initiative is partly inspired by internal research of more than 600 females in relationships that found the top two issues they care about most are mental health and body image / self-esteem. Additionally, relationship health, mental health, and financial well-being were cited as the most important topics for the wedding industry to address. Wellness content like Beauty as Self Care, Planning Pitfalls That Drain You, and A Wellness Registry are featured in The Knot’s most-recent issue featuring Olympic gold medalist and American hurdler Sydney McLaughlin on the cover. One of Gen Z and Millennials’ goals for 2022 is to improve their mental health, and brands have been introducing wellness initiatives to meet their needs in all aspects of their lives—from mental wellness video content to soothing products.
