Campbell’s and family experience company Camp released scented candles and a winter activity guide to keep families entertained all season long. Releasing limited-edition, scented candles has been a marketing trend brands have been deploying for some time now as they look to make every product a lifestyle brand, and now Campbell’s is joining in. They’ve teamed with Camp on a collection of scented candles designed to look like Campbell’s soup cans and smell like its iconic soup pairings, like Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup. The candles feature a Winter Warmup Guide for families that offers inspiration for staying entertained during the cold winter months, like arts and crafts, recipes, and games that parents can play with their children. Once each candle is burned, a miniature “Snowbuddy” figurine awaits the bottom of the can. The candles have been an instant hit, and have already sold out online. Creating activity guides and entertainment aimed at families became popular at the start of the pandemic when brands worked to inspire them while they spent more time at home, and the Campbell’s x Camp activation is a new take on the trend as it combines sensory and experiential elements.
