A new program is offering financial counseling to moms who have been impacted by the pandemic. YPulse’s What’s Next For Work trend research found that the pandemic worsened the gender gap in the workplace, with 44% of Millennial moms reporting a loss of income in the last year, compared to 34% of Millennial dads overall. The free program “Finances are Cool. Moms Are Cool.” (which was co-founded by influencer Haley Sacks, a.k.a. Mrs. Dow Jones) has started to reach out to moms who have lost jobs, income, and financial stability during the pandemic to provide financial guidance and tips that may help them get back on track. The first “class” of 10 moms were given virtual group lessons “on retirement savings, life insurance, and investment strategies” over three months by female financial planners. (CNBC)
