Social Change Fund United and Bleacher Report collaborated on a capsule collection celebrating and supporting HBCUs. At the end of October, Social Change Fund United, which was founded by NBA stars Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade, and Carmelo Anthony, announced that they were collaborating with Bleacher Report to honor the legacy of six Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the country which included Howard University, North Carolina A&T, Clark Atlanta, Florida A&M University, Jackson State University, and Morehouse College. The two groups worked with designers including Tahir Murray, Chris Gibbs, Kumasi Sadiki, Mike Nicholas, Maxwell Osborne, and Tremaine Emory, who came up with the designs for the respective colleges. An additional designer, Corey Arvinger, founder of Support Black Colleges, created the seventh collection, which celebrated the overall culture of HBCUs. (Essence)
