Pepsi is hosting the first-ever Dig In Day to support Black-owned restaurants. On November 6, Pepsi is hosting Dig In Day to celebrate Black-owned restaurants, which will feature advertising, partnerships, business resources, and local events. To participate, Black restaurateurs can visit PepsiDigIn.com to apply for an 8-week digital consultancy program and access business resources, which includes template brand materials that they can use in their marketing and social efforts. Meanwhile, customers can support the celebration by eating at a Black-owned restaurant and uploading their receipt to DigInPassport.com to win rewards and collectibles. Dig In Day is the latest installment of Pepsi’s “Dig In” initiative that seeks to drive $100 million in sales over the next five years to Black-owned restaurants. Prior to the announcement of Dig In Day, the brand premiered a new docuseries featuring Black cuisine, which was also a part of the long-term initiative. (Marketing Dive)
